I am a Year 5 student at Papakura Central School in Auckland, NZ. I am in KHH and my teacher is Whaea Sharlee and Whaea Tamzin. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
Good Job on explaning your thinking Danielle. But How I worked out the aswer is a little diffrent then yours but it's fine. We all have diffrent ways and the aswer may be diffrent
ReplyDeleteKia ora Danielle, great to see you have posted some of your learning this week. Nice job showing your maths thinking and clearing setting out all the working out you did. If Sid collected twice as many plums on Tuesday than he did on Monday we need to look at the Monday total, he collected 4 plums. We know that 'twice as many' is like saying double, so we could say 4 + 4 or 4 x 2 to work out how many he collected on Tuesday. I hope this helps. Look forward to seeing more work posted to blog and hope to see you at our Google Meets each day. Nice work Danielle.
